1. What it is

Opened in 2007, this was China's first international-grade dedicated circus theatre. The 5,000-seat house is one of the largest circus venues in the world. The 300+ performers come from 50+ countries — Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Argentina, Kenya, China and more — many of them world-champion-level talent recruited from Moscow State Circus, Kyiv Circus and others.

Style: traditional circus + modern stunts + large-scale animal acts. Trapeze, tightrope, magic, mounted combat, elephants, lions through fire hoops, motorcycle globe, and more. The theme is refreshed each year — the 2025 theme is "Silk Road Legend".

3. Show highlights

1. Opening: 300 performers on stage at once + smoke and lighting.
2. Elephant act — five Indian elephants on the high wire and dance.
3. Trapeze — four Russian aerialists in relay.
4. Lions through fire — 10 African lions performing.
5. Mounted combat — Mongolian riders shooting arrows at full gallop.
6. Globe of Death — 6 motorcycles in one cage.
7. Underwater act — sharks and divers in choreography (limited theme).
8. Finale fireworks — indoor pyrotechnics + snow effect.

4. The arrival flow

1. 60 min before: get to Chimelong Resort;
2. 45 min before: redeem your ticket at the box office (Klook QR for physical ticket);
3. 30 min before: enter and find your seat;
4. 10 min before curtain: doors close.

5. Best time to visit

• March–May, October–November: best weather.
• Avoid: May Day, National Day, Spring Festival; June–September thunderstorms.
• By weekday: Tue/Wed cheapest; weekends 20% surcharge.

The Chimelong Resort houses four headline experiences:

• Ocean Kingdom ¥285 (full daytime);
• Circus Theatre ¥285 (evening 19:30);

• Penguin Hotel ¥1,200 (rooms with penguin-aquarium windows).

7. How to get there

• From Hong Kong: HK-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge bus → Zhuhai port → free shuttle to Chimelong.
• From Macau: free 30-min cross-border shuttle.
• From Guangzhou: high-speed rail → Zhuhai → 30-min taxi.
• Hengqin Port: walk + 15-min shuttle.
