1. What it is
Opened in 2021, "Bay Glory" is the centrepiece of OH Bay, the new mixed-use development in Shenzhen's Bao'an district. The wheel's 28 fully glazed cabins (8 people each) ride to a 128 m peak with sightlines over Shenzhen Bay Bridge, the hills of northern Hong Kong, the Shenzhen Bao'an Airport runways, and the Bao'an skyline.
The unusual selling point: you can see two cities at once — on a clear day, Yuen Long and Sheung Shui in Hong Kong are visible from the top. No other Ferris wheel in China gives you that cross-border view.
2. Best time to ride
- 17:30–19:00 sunset: sea sunset and Shenzhen Bay Bridge in silhouette.
- 19:00–21:00 night: Bao'an Bay light show + dual-city night skyline.
- 10:00–12:00: lightest crowds, clearest daylight views.
- Avoid: Saturday night 19:00–21:00 — 60+ minute queues.
