1. What it is
Opened in 1998 and designed by a Japanese team, this is China's first fully Japanese-style hot-spring resort. The entire 150,000 sqm is modelled on Kyoto's Arashiyama springs — wooden pavilions, stone gardens, cherry trees, mossy steps. 22 pools, each with a different theme.
The water is 100% natural, drawn from 800 m below ground, with 38 mineral compounds (radon, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and more) reputed to benefit skin, joints and circulation. Pool temperatures range from 38°C to 42°C — soakable year-round.
2. The 22 themed pools
- Japanese zone — sesame, mint, green tea, rose;
- Chinese herbal zone — angelica, astragalus, ginseng, cinnamon;
- Western zone — wine, coffee, milk, rose-essential-oil;
- Themed zone — fish therapy (small fish nibbling), mud bath, cold spring, sauna;
- Children's zone — warm pool with toys.

4. Best time to visit
- October–March: hot-spring high season — cooler air outside, the warm soak is at its best.
- Late March to April: cherry blossoms across the resort — peak photographic moment.
- Avoid: June–September (Guangdong heat — 30°C+ outside makes hot springs unbearable).
- Best day: Tuesday or Wednesday for the lightest crowds; weekend evenings after 19:00 for the best atmosphere.
5. How to get there
- From Hong Kong: HK-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge → Zhuhai → bus or taxi (~1 h).

- Free shuttle: 4 daily from Zhuhai Airport / Gongbei port.
